Futsal is a 5-a-side version of football played in smaller fields, or indoor gyms and courts with a smaller ball. The Philippine Futsal Community is a group dedicated to promoting Futsal in the Philippines. With the recent rise of the popularity of football and the longtime clamor for a better football program locally, futsal has great potential for becoming a foundation for world class football in the philippines since it’s more easily accessible to people.
They are currently promoting the Philippine Futsal Winners Cup:
The PHILIPPINE FUTSAL CUP WINNERS CUP is a tournament designed to create a healthy competition amongst 3rd division players and at the same time promote futsal.
This is the tournament for the newbie, the college students who are not varsity players & those who played football in their college years and are coming back to play futsal.
The idea is to “BRING FUTSAL CLOSER TO FILIPINOS”. Therefore we will do our best to organize the futsal tournament to various communities with covered basketball courts that have not yet seen futsal being played. Then should the local government see the potential of the sport, we are willing to conduct FREE Futsal Clinics to kids and eventually setting up a futsal club that plays in that venue every Saturdays 8-10am. One of the targets is for a covered basketball court to have SATURDAYS 8-10am strictly for FUTSAL only.
PHILIPPINE FUTSAL CUP WINNERS CUP
There will be 8 Elimination Legs every last Saturdays of every month (8AM-6PM). Only the Leg Champions will advance to the CUP WINNERS CUP on November 26, 2011.
1ST ELIMINATION LEG – January 29, 2011- Marcelo Village
2ND ELIMINATION LEG – February 26, 2011 – Don Bosco Makati
3RD ELIMINATION LEG – March 26, 2011 – Taguig
4TH ELIMINATION LEG – April 30, 2011 – Antipolo
May to July will be the Philippine Futsal League (Division)
5TH ELIMINATION LEG – July 30, 2011 – Alabang
6TH ELIMINATION LEG – August 27, 2011 -
7TH ELIMINATION LEG – September 24, 2011 -
8TH ELIMINATION LEG – October 29, 2011 -
CUP WINNERS CUP – November 26, 2011 -
ELIMINATION LEGS:
-8 Men’s Teams.
-4 teams on each group play against each other. (Group A & B)
-Top 2 teams on each group advances to the Semi-Finals.
-Semi-Final winners play for the Championship.

Diliman Preparatory School which is located in Commonwealth QC will soon be opening its doors to Futsal enthusiasts. We will allow renting of the court starting from 7PM onwards. THe probable opening date will be on the 2nd week of May 2012. Ad for the rates we are still finalizing the rental fees.
