The purpose of the project is to bring the global yoga community together from every continent, school and approach to form a &#8220;mala around the earth&#8221; through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108 (108 Surya Namaskar, Mantra, Kriya, Meditation). These events will be happening simultaneously in over 100 cities including: New York, Munich, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hongkong, Tokyo, etc. Invitations are being made to studios, centers and ashrams all over the world including Root schools and centers in India from the Yoga Mandiram in Chennai to Amma’s ashram in Kerala. It is the largest unified worldwide yoga event, dedicated to positive change, in the history of the planet.</p>

<p>On Fall Equinox and the United Nations International Day of Peace, studios/teachers/organizations across the globe create yoga celebrations, raising funds &amp; awareness for some of the most essential issues of our times. The funds raised from this celebration will go to organizations such as:</p>

TUBBATAHA FOUNDATION (www.tubbatahareef.org)</p>
<p>Shiva Rea (www.shivarea.com) is the Catalyst for this world wide event. And the Manila chapter will be produced/led by TERESA HERRERA (www.teresaherrera.net)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yoga is a healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures, and meditation that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.</p>
<p>While yoga evolved as a spiritual practice in Hinduism, in the modern world, a part of yoga, known as Asana, has grown popular as a form of purely physical exercise. Today, most forms of yoga practiced have little or nothing to do with Hinduism or spirituality, but are simply a way of keeping fit and healthy.<span id="more-92"></span></p>
